A 3-night retreat in the Byron Bay Hinterland, created for those who want the opportunity to step away from the fast pace of every day life, but don’t quite have the space for a longer retreat. This retreat offers us a pause before the fullness of the holiday season to slow down and reconnect.

Each day we’ll be in a rhythm of twice-daily yoga, enjoying nourishing meals, with plenty of time to simply rest. My intention for you is that you move into the end of the year feeling grounded and energetically and emotionally resourced.

You’re welcome to come alone, or bring a friend to share in a few days of quality time.

Dates: 29 Nov - 2 Dec, 2026.

Meet your Host.

Melissa Mai.

Melissa Mai has been teaching yoga for 12 years since her return from India in 2013. It was here she completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Swami Govindananda. Melissa advocates for yoga to be inclusive and welcoming of the diversity of being human. She is passionate about the power of expanding one’s awareness to notice the nuance and subtlety in what’s already here, instead of adding ‘more’. You can expect her classes to be slow, steady, and heart felt. She has facilitated at large wellness events, corporate offices, managed a yoga studio, and led retreats worldwide. She has given herself permission to allow her style of teaching to evolve over the years alongside her evolution as a human/woman. And, she encourages her students to do the same.

‘I don’t care about how you look; all I care about is how you feel. Within every asana (yoga posture) is an experience to be felt. Grounded, connected, humble, alive, vulnerable’.

No - all mats, blocks, bolsters + straps are provided so you can pack light! If you would like to bring your own yoga mat, you are more than welcome to.

Will there be time to sight see or leave the retreat venue?
Our morning class will be held at 7:30-9:30am, followed by breakfast. Our afternoon practice will be at 4:00pm followed by dinner. We also have lunch at approx 1pm each day. This leaves free time between breakfast + lunch, and then again after lunch until our afternoon practice. In this time you may want to take a drive to the beach, or into town for some shopping, or perhaps do the infamous Byron Bay Lighthouse walk. However considering there is only two full days to rest and reset, it may serve you to stay at our beautiful retreat venue and enjoy the facilities and nature walks, pack a book or take a nap, so you feel truly rested and nourished to head back home and into usual life. :)

How do I get there?
